Lessons from the Reagan Revolution:
The case for lower taxes
The Institute of Public Affairs and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry invite you to a special event with Dr Arthur Laffer, member of Ronald Reagan's Economic Policy Advisory Board, and inventor of the Laffer Curve.
Dr Arthur Laffer was a crucial figure behind Reaganomics in the 1980s. He pushed for a reduction in taxes in order to spur economic growth. This would lead to a world-wide tax cutting movement.
A 1999 Time Magazine cover story, 'The Century's Greatest Minds', deemed the Laffer Curve one of 'a few advances that powered this extraordinary century.' Laffer's curve would change the American economy forever, leading to an economic revolution and ultimately more human flourishing.
